Thank you!

I will be forever grateful for this experience. Thanks to everyone for their encouragement and support, not only for me, but for teachers and our educational system.
Thank you to SFAZ and ACST and Biosphere 2 for investing in us, and our students' education. I am inspired and cannot wait to share what I have learned with my colleagues, and future students.

My evening off - El Conquistador with my mom!
The view from the pool - beautiful!!
Teachers- above is where you can get your own set of minerals for your classroom!
Over 50 minerals - numbered, with a key! And tons of information about the mining industry!

We took a field trip to the University of Arizona today! We went to the Flandrau Museum and saw an amazing exhibit of minerals from the Copper Queen Mines in Bisbee, AZ. I know more about minerals and the history of mining than I ever thought I would! They were so beautiful!
We also saw a show at their planetarium which was very cool too. We went to the Steward Mirror Lab which is located under the U of A stadium. They make huge (I mean huge) mirrors for huge telescopes all over the world. Amazing!
It's movie night at B2 - we are watching Avatar!

  1. I had such a great time visiting with you last night and seeing everything that you are learning and working on. It was so beautiful there! The U o A visit sounds fascinating! Hope you have some down time to read your book. I loved it. Close your eyes and imagine the "Heavenly Bed" maybe it will work tonight :)

    Love you
    Mom
